About Us The Southeast District is one of eight districts in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. There are one hundred and five United Methodist Congregations in the district. The district covers Chambers, Clay, Coosa and Randolph counties as well as parts of Talladega and Cleburne counties. Our mission conforms to the commission of Jesus and the mission of all United Methodist churches. Our mission is to reach more people for Jesus Christ. Each year we are getting better at communicating the gospel and serving as churches to disciple new believers. In 2006 we had 125 professions, in 2007 we had 150 professions and in 2008 we had 184 professions of faith. While the number of professions is an improvement in the churches evangelism efforts, we know we have a long way to go to match the increase in population and we are committed to evangelism. The District Superintendent is Dr. Richard L. Stryker, III. The District Lay Leader is Mr. Steve Lyles. Reverend Mike Densmore is the Assistant to the D.S. and Mrs. Debby Webb is the Administrative Assistant. These persons along with various committees of the district and cluster leaders work along with churches to fulfill the mission of the church by means of the priorities.
