Penny Sanford
Penny Sanford is a bundle of energy with a heart of gold. In addition to efficiently serving and assisting with the orderly administrative processes that support the District Office, churches and pastors of the Southwest District, she also finds time to volunteer in a variety of settings.
Some causes dear to her heart are Red Cross, Alabama Justice Ministries Network, Jefferson County Jail Ministry volunteer, and caregiving with elderly and blind persons. Therefore, you won’t be surprised to know that Penny is certified in Stephen Ministry and is active in Mountain Chapel UMC’s Friendship Circle, a group that plans social activities for shut-ins. And if all of that is not enough to make Penny your new best friend, she is also a licensed massage therapist!
Penny and her husband Ken have five children and seven grandchildren. She is into exercise and fitness, photography and music. Penny believes that ministry is the hope of the world. She is open to God’s call on her life, and is delighted to be in Southwest District office.
