AC11 Mission Project

Annual Conference 2011 Mission Project: Health Kits

The Mission and Advocacy Team of the North Alabama Conference invites each local church to participate in this mission project by donating items for Health Kits and helping to put them together at Annual Conference.

Churches in each District are being asked to supply a particular component of the Health Kits. We'll provide an area in the food tent for assembly. When you have free time, swing by and lend a hand.

Here's what we need:

CENTRAL DISTRICT Adhesive bandages, ¾"-1" (common household variety)

CHEAHA DISTRICT Combs, sturdy, at least 8” long (no pocket combs or picks)

MOUNTAIN LAKES DISTRICT Metal nail files and clippers—(no emery boards or toenail clippers)

NORTHEAST DISTRICT Hand towels 15"x25" to 17”x 27” (kitchen, cleaning and microfiber towels are not acceptable)

NORTHWEST DISTRICT Washcloths

SOUTH CENTRAL DISTRICT Gallon-sized zipper seal plastic bags

SOUTHEAST DISTRICT Bath size soap 3 oz. and larger (all brands are acceptable, leave in original package)

SOUTHWEST DISTRICT Toothbrushes (adult size only, leave in original package)

ALL DISTRICTS $1.00 per item for replenishment and shipping. Excess funds will be donated to UMCOR.

Important Notes

  • All items must be new. Do not wash any of the items or they will be considered used.
  • Emergency kits are carefully planned to make them usable in the greatest number of situations. Since strict rules often govern product entry into international countries, it is important that kits contain only the requested items – nothing more.
  • Please enclose an envelope containing $1 for each item you send. This donation enables kits to be sent to areas in need. Districts, local churches or individuals may donate by check to help with these expenses.
