Guidelines for Reporting
North Alabama Conference of the UMC 2009

Conference Vision:

All reports submitted for publication in the Pre-Conference Book for 2009 and for subsequent publication in the Journal 2009 should be submitted prior to February 2, 2009 as a Microsoft Word Document and attached in an email to the following email address:

Include “Pre-Conference Report” in the subject line and request a “read receipt” to ensure delivery.

All reports received are included in the Pre-Conference Booklet at the discretion of the Director of Connectional Ministries.  Any reports received after the report deadline will be received at the discretion of the Director of Connectional Ministries due to publishing requirements.

For a report to be included in the Pre-Conference Book it must specifically address how the board, agency, committee, team, ministry, mission, or institution is helping the annual conference achieve its vision (stated above) through at least one or more of the conference priorities (stated above). Since the annual conference exists to challenge and equip every local church in growing more disciples, your report may also indicate how you are interacting with local churches to assist them in growing more disciples by taking risks and changing lives.  A good report will focus on results—that is, how lives have been changed—and will demonstrate an awareness of and a commitment to the vision and priorities of the annual conference.

You may ask for a review of your report if it is submitted to the above email address prior to January 8, 2009.  If it is deemed not to meet the guidelines, the review will indicate specific reasons and you will have an opportunity to re-submit.  The review will include a deadline for re-submission.
