PRIORITY: New Congregations
Growth is the defining characteristic for effective ministry. Growth—reaching new people for Christ—is possible and is the expectation for every community and ministry. The Great Commission places that expectation upon us as individuals, as churches, and as a conference. The Office of Congregational Development works toward the goal of growth by strengthening existing congregations and, using demographics and successful models of new church development, by establishing new congregations. A comprehensive long-term vision for ministry and growth is essential, and the Office of Congregational Development exists to create and implement this vision.
