Disaster Response Warehouses

The North Alabama Conference has an ongoing warehouse that are open for disaster response supplies located in the northern part of the conference in Decatur.

The North Alabama Conference uses the UMCOR standards for disaster response supplies.  For more information and instructions about UMCOR kits click here.

If you or your congregation have a donation of needed supplies for the conference disaster response effort please contact the Disaster Warehouse. It is staffed by volunteers.  So make sure you call before you plan your trip to the warehouse.

Located: 35 minutes South of the TN State line just off Interstate 65

Directions:  Take the first exit South of the TN River on Interstate 65 at Exit 334 and go West 3.5 miles to a big four lane intersection. 
Turn left (South) on Hwy 31.
Go exactly one mile and be in the left turn lane in the median. 
Go to Warehouse R.  The letters are four feet tall, so you should be able to find it.  It is on the
opposite end of warehouse Q and is 150’ X 200’.  Normally, you can drive into
the building.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT LEAVE  Health Kits, Blankets, Bottled Water and Flood Buckets outside the building. Please call ahead and let us know when you are coming.  We operate six day a week.  Closed on Sunday.  Be sure and bring church members with you.  They will enjoy looking around and if you have time, volunteering.  Overnight camping at Point Mallard is on twelve minutes away and is welcomed!  You may want to visit the Space Museum in Huntsville, which can take one plus days.  The Disaster Warehouse welcome’s you, so…
