The North Alabama Conference Center for Congregational Development has once again secured a block of tickets at a reduced rate for those North Alabama United Methodists who wish to attend the Catalyst Conference in October.
This year the tickets will be $199. (The regular price for a single ticket before the event will be $319 – so this is a considerable savings.) On October 3-5, 2012, the Catalyst Conference will take place in Atlanta, GA. The two day event, (proceeded by one day of learning Labs) is targeted to young leaders, influencers and world changers who love Jesus. Organizers invite those who “see things differently, and feel a burden for our generation” to come “learn, worship and create together with a momentous energy passionately pursuing God."
The theme for the 2012 event is “Make.” The Catalyst Conference website explains them theme saying, “As leaders, we all want to get there as quick as possible, yet we know that the process is what builds our character. It’s what MAKES us who we are. There is no fabrication of influence. No skipping the essential steps. No fast-forwarding through the benchmark moments of clarity and wisdom gained. We must earn the right to be heard. Our story is being handcrafted through the process.”

The Catalyst Conference first began in 1999. The www.catalystconference.com website explains, “Catalyst was created to meet the felt need that existed within the church leader space for a leadership event that was focused on a new generation of church leaders.” Over the last 13 years more than 100,000 leaders have gathered in Atlanta for the experience.
