Youth Workers of North Alabama:
As many of you know the Connectional Ministries department of the North Alabama Conference of the UMC is undergoing restructuring. I have been appointed to the Helena United Methodist Church and will be working with Encounter, Citizenship and Academy for Student Ministry for the rest of 2010. Please be in prayer for our conference as we discern how we can most effectively strengthen local church Youth Ministry with the resources we have.

- $30 registration for participants who are staying at the Marriott Shoals—space is limited
- $55 Regular Registration January 7- February 10, 2010
- $65 Late Registration after February 10, 2010
The Marriott Shoals is the host hotel and venue site. Groups are responsible for making your own hosing arrangements; you can contact the Marriott Shoals at www.marriottshoals.com or (256) 246-3600. Be sure to tell them that you are with the North Alabama Conference of the UMC.

New York/Washington, D.C. Citizenship Seminar
June 11-19, 2010
The New York/Washington, D.C. Citizenship Seminar is an event that has been teaching United Methodist youth about social justice issues for many years.
The 2010 trip will be a partnership between the Alabama-West Florida and the North Alabama Conferences. Both conferences have a long history of participation in the Citizenship Seminar and have joined together to enhance the experience for all involved.
