February 2010 Events for Pastors and Churches Southeast District Pastors MeetingDate: February 2, 2010; Place: Alexander City First UMC Fellowship Hall The pastors and District Superintendent will meet to discuss the 2010 plans for ministry in the Southeast District. This is a requird meeting. 5:30 PM - Gathering & dinner 7:00 PM - Meeting with District Supt. Stryker (repeat of 6:00 PM) For those pastor unable to attend these sessions, there will be a "make-up" meeting on Sunday, February 7 at Camp Hill UMC (14 Heard St. Camp Hill) at 2:30 PM. Starting and Growing Successful Small Group MinistriesDate; February 6, 2010; Place Canterbury UMC, Birmingham. Cost; $15.00 per person. Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM The Southeast District Believes that the key place for growth in all churches is the small group. It provides the place for building relationship and the place where lay people with similar interest can help one another grow spiritually. If you are a lay or clergy person wanting the skill to start a new group or multiply the groups you have, we want to support you in this endeavor. You are invited to attend the small group workshop "Starting and Growing Successful Small Group Ministries." If you attend a church in the Southeast District, let us know that you attended this training and we will reimburse you $5.00 towards the cost. Don't forget to take the District up on our promise.
