Huguley UMC Connecting to Community
Huguley United Methodist Church in the Southeast District and under the leadership of Pastor Al Smith, is seeking to connect to the community. During the recent Christmas parade, the church participated by putting a float in the parade.
The church also held a Fifty Plus Christmas Party for seniors.The church is reaching out to all age groups. It awarded a Cub Scout flag to the local Pack. The church is one of the sponsors of the Pack. The Pack started with 7 boys in July and has grown to 42.
The church is involved in local ministries, some highlighted above, and also in national and international ministries through giving 100% of apportionment for mission and ministry of United Methodist Church. Pastor Smith describes the activities at the church as flooding with God’s blessings. New members are expected to join this month.
