Rethink Church Trainers
The Southeast District congratulates Rev. Bridget Dowdy, pastor of Trinity UMC, Rev. Dee Dowdy, pastor of Flint Hill UMC and cluster leader of the Middle Cluster and Rev. Tiwirai Kufarimai, pastor of Haven Memorial UMC for completing the Welcoming Training for Rethink Church. District Supt. Stryker also completed the training.
The three pastors are expected to host multiple workshops in the district and outside the district to help churches become places of welcome, connect with a new generation of Christians and cultivate an identity in the community that is truly Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors.
These new trainers and others were trained on October 2 & 3, 2009 by United Methodist Communications staff, led by Cheryl A. Hemmerle, Manager of Training Development and Delivery. Prattville First UMC was the host church.
Churches are encouraged to listen out for dates of training or call the Southeast District Office 256-409-9210 with request.
