1: District Staff Dr. Richard L. Stryker - District Superintendent:
Reverend Stryker is a graduate of the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary (Bachelor of Theology 1986), and the Memphis Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Religion 1989 & Master of Divinity 1993). He earned the Doctor of Ministry degree from The School of Theology University of the South in 2009. In North Alabama he served as pastor of Rising Star UMC in Hobson City, St. Paul UMC in Birmingham, and St. Thomas UMC in Sylacauga. Reverend David Carboni - Assistant to District Superintendent:
While at Auburn he met Kay Yeilding, of Birmingham, and they were married in 1972. David and Kay have three children, Beth, Paul and Mark, and, in September 2012, will have five grandchildren. David has served on many conference and district committees most notable the Board of Ordained Ministry where he administered the Minister’s Education Fund for two quadriniums. He is currently the pastor of Red Ridge UMC in Dadeville. David and Kay love being with their children and grandchildren, frolicking around Lake Logan Martin in their boat and traveling. David enjoys fishing, woodworking, golf and not being idle.
