Sycamore UMC Furnishes School Supplies

Sycamore UMC celebrated back to school with the children of the church.  Members furnished the full list of school supplies for those children who attend Sycamore Elementary and one at Winterboro High School.  Each child was anointed and prayers were lifted for each child’s school year and that of the entire school.  Realizing that school funding has taken its toll of meeting school needs, a check was given to the principal of Sycamore Elementary to be used for physical needs such as shoes and clothing of her students.  A gift of school supplies and snack items will continue during the school year.

Sycamore UMC has a free clothes closet open several times a year from which clothes are available to children and adults.  This ministry has reached many in the need of clothing, and it has also blessed many in the Sylacauga area by receiving their donations.  Helping meet the needs of an area hard hit by lack of employment has been a blessing to Sycamore UMC.
