KELLYTON CHAPEL SHAKES IT UP AT VBS

Kellyton Chapel’s 2011 Vacation Bible School was centered around the theme “The Shake It Up Café”. More than 50 people attended the multigenerational event held on June 24 and 25. People ages 1 to 90 enjoyed the singing, dancing, arts and crafts, and of course, the food.

The Fellowship Hall was fully decorated to resemble a Café. The decorators used some vintage items borrowed from family and friends. All of the VBS workers, Director Regina Leonard, Instructors Rev. Michael Strong, Ethel Williams, Shannon Young, Darlene Kelley, Bessie Milliner, Arvetta Strong, Music Director Lizzie Slaughter, and Craft Director Angela McKinney dressed like Chefs. We have Diane Buckner, Clyde Whetstone, Calvin Kelley, and Alonzo Parker to thank for the wonderful refreshments.

A good time was had by all and we all received a blessing from being a part of the Shake It Up Café.
