Clergy Families Celebrate Christmas at Southeast District Christmas Dinner

Mrs. Sarah CorsonActive and retired clergy and families of the Southeast District celebrated the joy of the season at a District Christmas Dinner on Friday, December 2, 2011. The Dinner held at Duncan Memorial UMC Club House brought families together for fun, fellowship, feasting, caroling and a special Christmas sharing by Mrs. Sarah Corson.

Sarah and Ken Corson are founders of Servant in Faith and Technology (SIFAT). She presented a very moving Christmas event from her life as a missionary in Cuba and the family’s love for a special Cuban child that became part of their family. Mrs. Corson has a new book out, Risking Everything. In it she recounts stories from the mission field and inspires readers.

DS Richard Stryker offered special thanks to Duncan Memorial UMC for hosting the dinner, to Genora Hale for playing the piano, Rev. Kevin and Melissa Payne for the special music, Rev. Mike Densmore, Rev. Steve Baccus and many lay people from Duncan for the very tasty meal. Thanks also to pastors and families for taking time on a Friday evening to enjoy Christmas blessings as a Southeast District family.
