New Site UMC - Shoe Boxes for Christmas
New Site United Methodist Church dedicated more than 40 “shoeboxes” this past Sunday, November 13th. The shoeboxes were filled with items that boys and girls will enjoy. Small toys, hygiene items, coloring books, crayons and games are some of the items that were included in each box.
Samaritan’s Purse is the organization that has been sponsoring “Operation Christmas Child” since 1993 and thousands of filled shoeboxes have been sent all over the world spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children. Samaritan’s Purse includes Christian material in each shoebox and follow-up activities to advance God’s Kingdom are also part of this ministry.
