Red Ridge UMC to host United Methodist Children's Home Dinner

It is that time of year again. The United Methodist Children's Home is gearing up for the annual White Christmas activities.

Red Ridge UMC invites UMCH local church representatives, pastors and interested persons to an Italian Night of food and information for the White Christmas Offering. Cherry Johnson of United Methodist Children’s Home will present useful information and get acquainted with supporters of the Children’s Home.

Date: Thursday, September 22nd at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Please reserve your place no later than September 15 by calling the District Office at 256-409-9210 or the Red Ridge church office at 256-825-9820.

 Southeast District UMW Mission Study Hosted by Lanett First

Each year, United Methodist Women members prepare for faithful living and action by studying mission studies. Mission studies are offered each year - a geographical, topical, and spiritual growth study. These studies motivate, inform, and enrich our commitment to global ministry

Southeast District UMW held a mission study at Lanett First UMC on Saturday, August 27th. This was an exciting time of learning.

United Methodist Children's Home Benefit Dinner

Join UMCH at Canterbury UMC in Birmingham for the Red Roots in concert on Sunday, September 25th at 5:30 PM! The Red Roots are a Christian bluegrass band consisting of three sisters (triplets) who praise the Lord with a passion for music. "The name Red Roots comes from our hair but more importantly from our faith that is rooted in the blood shed by Jesus Christ."

Servants Like Jesus Grant Application - DEADLINE Approaches

The North Alabama Conference Mission budget provides grant funds for new mission projects and continuing projects with connections to the United Methodist Church.

Deadline for Submitting Grant Application: September 30, 2011. Grants normally range from $500 to $5,000 per project. Click to apply.

The current grant monies are available from the generous support of local churches through apportioned giving and Mission Fund 522 to the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church and Connectional Ministries budget. Thank you local churches for generously supporting apportionment.
