There are many persons in need. Wesley Chapel United Men are seeking to respond to the needs by giving supplies to the Care House in Sylacauga.
On August 23, 2008 the United Methodist Men (UMM) held a "Matching Food Drive." They invited shoppers at a local grocery store to donate nonperishable food items. The UMM proceeded to match the items donated up to $1000.00 and gave the supplies to the Care House in order to help needy families.
This effort netted approximately $2,000.00 in food supplies.
President Adams extends thanks to everyone who donated and helped make this effort a great success. We were able to help reduce hunger in Sylacauga because of your generous contributions.
